The Summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are fast approaching. From July 26 to Aug. 11, spectators will be able to watch athletes like Simon Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Katie Ledecky, and even Lebron James. Not to mention 2014 Memphis University School graduate Harrison Williams will participate in the Paris Olympics. The decathlete recently qualified for the games at the Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon.
Even though the games will be held on the other side of the globe, there are many places in Memphis to keep up with your favorite events and athletes.
Bog and Barely
Bog and Barely, another Irish pub and restaurant, offers a slightly elevated viewing experience. Max’s laidback, outdoors counterpart is Loflin Yard. The Green Beetle
The Green Beetle, the “oldest tavern in Memphis,” according to its website, is located on is located on South Main Street. Frank Liberto, a 29-year-old son of an Italian immigrant with only a fourth-grade education, founded the beetle in 1939 and the beloved joint has changed ownership several times since then without losing its charm. When visiting to watch the Olympics, try out the Beetle Burger, the Big Willy, and a bushwacker.

Watch the Olympics from home
If sports bars are not your scene, the 2024 Olympics will air on several cable stations or through streaming subscriptions. Peacock will broadcast every event, including the opening and closing ceremonies, live and on-demand. The streaming service will even offer customers customized daily recap.
NBC will air nine hours of event coverage between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time over the 16 days of the Summer 2024 Olympics. Select events will be broadcast on USA Network, Golf Channel, CNBC, and E! Several other streaming services such as Fubo, Sling TV, or Hulu + Live TV will stream the Olympics and other top-tier sports with various subscriptions.
