A photograph of a selfie taken during Paris 2024 has been hailed as showing the “true spirit” of the Olympics.
South Korean table tennis player Lim Jonghoon was caught on camera snapping an image of himself and teammate Shin Yubin with North Korean rivals Ri Jong Sik and Kim Kum Yon and China’s Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha following their medal ceremony for the mixed doubles event on Wednesday.
“This is the true spirit of the Olympics,” the AFP news agency quoted one broadcaster in South Korea as describing the picture.
