Sabrina Carpenter is buzzed about the upcoming Summer Olympics!
In a new promo released by NBC on Monday, July 15 on YouTube, the pop star, 25, raves about the impending Paris Olympics to a virtual bird.
While sipping an espresso at a Persian cafe the “Espresso” singer considers what she’s excited to see at the global event.
“Oh, well hello there handsome,” she begins, when the blue bird tweets at her, interrupting her as she reads the newspaper. “Why, yes I am Sabrina Carpenter. Oh, thank you, it’s so nice to meet a fan.”
She implies that the bird’s unintelligible chirps are flirty before saying, “What am I doing in Paris? Isn’t it obvious? The Olympics.”

As her song begins to play in the background, Carpenter begins to say what she’s excited to watch, after presumably being asked the question.
“The amazing opening ceremony on the Seine, Simone’s epic comeback, the U.S.A./Australia rivalry in the pool and the world’s fastest man and woman, Noah and Sha’Carri racing for Team USA. I’ve never been more excited for anything in my life,” she tells the bird as sports footage plays.
After her shoutouts to Paris Olympians Simone Biles, Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson the “Feather” singer scolds the bird for flirting again.
“You need to behave yourself,” she laughs, as the camera switches from a close-up of the conversation at the table to a wider view of the tables outside of the cafe to reveal that Carpenter is alone at the table, talking to herself.
“I think she’s had enough espresso,” one server tells a colleague in French as the cute promo spot ends.
Carpenter’s latest espresso-infused collaboration came less than a month after she launched a limited edition, coffee-flavored ice cream with Van Leeuwen and 11 days before the Olympics begin on NBC.

In a Rolling Stone interview in June, Carpenter spoke about the incredible success of the song and the fun that comes with it.
“I just love that people get my sense of humor, she said, adding that she puts the “burden” of the fact that the song is catchy, “on other people.”
