The USA Basketball Showcase continues this week with its second and final game in Abu Dhabi.
Team USA Basketball will face Nikola Jokić and Serbia in its third pre-Olympics showcase game on Wednesday afternoon. The United States has won each of its first two games and is coming off of a close, 98-92 win over Australia on Monday. Anthony Davis was a big part of the U.S. victory with his 17 points.
Australia and Serbia faced off on Tuesday, and it was the Boomers that came away with the 84-73 victory. Patty Mills of the Miami Heat led both teams in scoring that game with 28 points – doubling Jokić’s 14-point total – on 7-for-13 shooting including a 4-for-7 mark from 3-point range.
Wednesday’s game also serves as a preview for the group stage at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games basketball tournament. The U.S. and Serbia are both in Group C and will open group play against each other at the Olympics.
Follow along as the United States take on Serbia in each team’s second game in Abu Dhabi.
