As track and field events at the 2024 Paris Olympics begin, the U.S. team is full of talent and speed, including Sha’Carri Richardson, one of the fastest sprinters in the world.

Richardson has made a triumphant return to the Olympics this year after a one-month suspension for testing positive for THC left her out of contention in Tokyo in 2021. Since then, she won a gold medal in the 100-meter event at the 2023 world championships and qualified for the Paris games at the U.S. Olympic trials in late June with a time of 10.71, 0.09 seconds faster than second-place finisher Melissa Jefferson.

The 24-year-old Dallas native and Louisiana State University runner has emerged as one of the stars on the U.S. Olympic team this year and a favorite to win her events.
