Hunter Woodhall lost both of his legs from the knees down when he was little because of a disease. Years later, he went on to be a sprinter at the University of Arkansas, and this summer he’s competing in his third Paralympics. Hunter’s wife, Tara Davis-Woodhall, won the gold medal in Paris for the women’s long jump. “We’ve been working so hard this season to get to this moment right here,” Tara said. “It was just such a special interaction between us.”Hunter was right by Tara’s side in Paris as she won the gold. “Just being there for each other and being able to celebrate in that moment and put on display all the hard work we’ve done is so incredible,” Hunter said.
