Breaking the Silence: These Brave Women Go Against the Poachers

Will you be part of the global solution to help save the endangered species our ecosystem so greatly needs? Or will you look the other way like nothing is going on? I recently watched the documentary, “Breaking the Silence”, and I was blown away by the strength of these women. Take action and watch the documentary trailer below.

Men have been fighting the front lines for a long time to protect endangered species but they aren’t the only ones fighting. The documentary, Breaking Their Silence: Women on the Frontline of the Poaching War, shows women rangers and even a former police captain who started a rhino orphanage, are doing everything they can to protect these endangered species that poachers are quickly taking from us. It takes everyone, men and women, to be on board and doing as much as they can to protect these endangered animals.

Let’s talk about how the illegal wildlife trade not only puts endangered species at risk, it also has contributed to the Covid-19 pandemic. Humans should not be interacting much with wildlife as that brings us viruses, but hopefully, this pause from the pandemic will give us a chance to reexamine our relationship with wildlife.

These endangered species; elephants, rhinos, tigers, and other wildlife are worth saving as saving them helps the economy more than killing them does. The tourism attraction that these endangered species bring is far more valuable than the cost to hunt them does. The saddest part of this all is the fact that we have already taken up so much space on the planet, leaving little space for the wildlife that contributes to our biosphere peacefully.  We need help to save these species before they are long gone.
